Abstract Aeromagnetic and vertical electrical sounding around Ijano, southwestern Nigeria, was investigated for groundwater potential. dataset were acquired used to investigate the study area. Oasis Montaj, Microsoft Excel Arc GIS present results in maps, images profiles. In order map out geological structures of area, magnetic image enhancing filters applied total intensity using Geosoft (Oasis Montaj) are reduction equator, derivative, horizontal derivative upward continuation. These helped define lithological boundaries, structures, faults, folds contacts. The lineament aeromagnetic generated from derived field gradients solutions Euler deconvolution carried on data structural index 0.5 1. processed shows lineaments trends majorly towards NE–SW directions. From these combined consistent showing probable positions suspected fractured/faulted zone as well other basement structures. Hydro-lineament density maps based produced generalized structure result depth interpretation indicates three curve types which H , HA KH, where type has highest occurrence. revealed that areas with hydro-lineament good prospect development. led delineation occurrences most promising sustainable supply, suggesting an area high concentrations a tendency prospecting. show technique is capable extracting inaccessible tropical forest.
